You think that Starbucks is great and offers same level of quality everywhere.. If you think that way , that means you are not a business traveler. THe airport starbucks' suck. I haven;t seen lower quality. Stamped with the notice above. My theory is that the stackbuck's inspectors are not allowed to audit the airport shops. South Beach
I loved South Beach in November.. Not hot, perfect weather.. I feel like I should start planning retirement. There is a nice life stuck at 60s.. Art Deco is what they are calling the music architecture actually anything old. But it is nice..You can swim during the day and then have a decent meal (not great) arouns ocean drive or lincoln road.. Great for getting into vacation mood.
OC Lunch
Reservoir Dogs was a nice movie. Don't do business in OC with dark suits and tie. Been there, power lunches can get difficult
dancing late
And the party animals from the eighties.. With the help of some alcohol we can get really dirty. Loss of hair does not matter.
Water
Wherever I traveled, even in the deep country, I have seen small artificial lakes. Which is nice, water is the key ingridient of displaying good life quality. I do not know if it is encoded into our DNA but just think about it, every great citiy we love is next to a huge water reserve.. Great mansions are great with their water add-ons.. UCONN Game
UCONN game at Hartford Civic Center. Players do really seem short from the top. I believe that the NCAA system is the biggest problem ffor professional basketball. Great athletes are lost with the lack of fundementals..They could be much better if they met with a pro coach at the hight school

grand canyon
Yes finally I have seen the grand canyon, after a nice drive on a mercury grand marquis..The Supreme comfort, space and style combine to make Mercury Grand Marquis a true joy to drive. says the vehicle web site.It was.. Finally I had the chance to drive a 4.6L real american car..
Canyon is a natural masterpiece, but since I had seen the detailed documentaries millions of times on TV I couldn't get excited I really should have been.. We didn't spend a lot of time in the southern rim, since vegas was waiting for us..

Skating in front of Rockefeller center at Christmas Eve...Parents take their children to share/inherit the magic moments they they had when they were kids.. The xmas tree and the colorful atmosphere was really warm against all mother nature effects (Did i say it was cold?) .. It is difficult to imagine a warm personal touch in the middle of 5th and 6th avenue in the NY winter night .. But yes, instead of a corner restaurant I got the Xmas fun..

Vegas is fascinating. I was thrilled with the Taryn Rose shop design at ceasar's shops.. Substance is your style says the store motto. My VGA phone camera could not reflect the light and the design but I definitely wanted to buy shoes..
The whole system (vegas) is designed for spending money in a joyful way. It doesn't matter how much you have, there are always nice things to do with your money..and I think I am not the only one who has noticed that..

This is a Nike outlet store, 50 miles north of Atlanta, made in China sold in USA.. it is kinda difficult to understand where the money is coming from. Walmart is full of Chinese products, so Home Depot.. This influx of products are financed by the services sector and a slight portion of budget deficit.. Services must be good .. In services we believe lately.. It is not Ford or GM that will be savior of US shopping spree..

Artificial Flowers - For my wife
These flowers are real , a snapshot from Penn Station New York, But when they are sent as a 320x240 jpeg image to my love, they are artificial..Still nice though, sending the warmest feelings with flowers from thousands of miles way..

Drive in burger restaurants were the icons of flintstones' america remake in my teen tv view...The idea of eating in the car seemed totally out of logic..it was not eating out, it was eating in .who would someone prefer a comfy table to a driving wheel.?.The answer is my fellow friends, integrated with the 'car kinda life' ...dual lane drive throughs, outside credit card swipes, order booths, does not sound imaginery..Atlanta is the place to live the feeling..I tried to get into the sonic ..when I figured that the only way I could give an order was the mike outside restaurant, I just laughed..no way in , only drive through or drive ins allwed...I sat on one of few tables outside...enjoyed the atlanta sun, while peekng at the mexican workforce running the american icon..

It looks like Indians are finally getting it back. All asphalt parking lot next to the tribe casino, and the shopping outlet.. Yes the hotel is under construction. The trbesmen are doing really good. I wonder if the pofits are shared even among the natives, or even if they are going to the natives.. Eitherway, in the land of democracy anyone can gamle as long as you can follow the indian heritage..

Weather could not be better in Hartford,CT...

If you are familiar with asimov's foundation series you will have my living in "tarantor" feelings..yesterday I was in NY city..Big,trendy, but old...It is like the natural aging..the city and the culture is no more young...Mid ages maybe more..It was same in Mountain View,CA last week..
Perfect country, perfect weather, big and prosperous buildings..but nothing new..This must change..I had the same feeling in 1991 in Russia..end of the glory days...The current system was the best system to take US to no1 in the world....Now there is a need for a new one to keep it there..I believe all children here are left behind in the mall,despite W's efforts...They will not be able to compete with hungry overseas peers....

Obsession with Green
Dallas, July 2005...Everthing is boiling under 100+ sun..But there is an interesting situation..The dominant color is not the yellow dead grass of my summer..There is an immense war against the nature...While traveling between the endless business parks around DFW, it seems like US has a lead against nature for the time being..Of course the grasshopper in the picture is not complaining..
